INDIANAPOLIS—Feb. 27, 2012—Cargo Services Inc., an Indiana owned and operated global freight-forwarder with a network of hundreds of agents in more than 80 countries, joins more than 4,000 freight forwarders in Bangkok Thailand this week for the World Cargo Alliance Annual Conference. The company’s three owners will travel to Asia to meet with agents, clients and business prospects during this global event.

Topics of discussion will include services and rate requirements as well as current industry conditions.

“Daily and weekly we talk with agents and clients via email and phone. The distance prevents building a face-to-face relationship. Members of the WCA family of logistic networks make up the world’s most powerful grouping of independent freight forwarders with 4064 offices in more than 667 cities and ports worldwide and together create more logistics power than all other networks combined.

About Books for Youth

Books for Youth sponsor Cargo Services Inc., one of the only Indiana-based owned and operated freight forwarding companies, has sponsored the program since 2007. To date approximately 500,000 books and 2,000 backpacks have been distributed to Indiana’s foster children through the program. Cargo Services believes in supporting the program as a Colts sponsor knowing how it helps children throughout the state, “Books for Youth days are some of the best days we have when we say we’re going to work,” says Cargo Service co-owner Steve Fugate. “To see the smiles on the kids’ faces and their excitement is overwhelming to us. We’re grateful our company can sponsor this initiative that helps children and their foster families throughout the state.”

Families statewide can get involved in the program. Anyone who buys a limited edition “Blue” backpack will receive a match courtesy of the program that includes a second backpack filled with 25 books that will be donated to an Indiana foster child.
