Our tagline includes the phrase Community Driven. We appreciate giving back through our core community relations program Books for Youth, which provides 25 age-appropriate books to Hoosier foster youth.
As the Colts season kicks off, we kick off our ninth season partnering with the NFL Indianapolis Colts and Department of Child Services as title sponsor of this program. We want to simply say, thank you for getting us involved. And thank you to Pat McAfee for getting engaged.
At any given time there are 12,000 youth in the Indiana foster system. Many of these children have little to call their own. They often arrive in a foster home with some clothes and that’s about it. Providing the gift of reading and experiencing a special day just for them-a Colts Books for Youth event-is not only memorable, but also enriching.
We invite everyone to get involved. Donate new and gently used books for the program at any Marion County Public Library or at your local Department of Child Services office. Through the Buy One Give One program fans that purchase a Mascot Blue backpack will have one donated to the program.
